Our Social Responsibility Policy and Principles
As Petek Plastik, with the aim of protecting, empowering our employees, and improving working conditions, we act with social responsibility and ethical awareness in all our activities as part of our core values and principles, ensure joint participation of employees and management, and accept these fundamental principles as one of the immutable elements of management.
Within this framework, we ensure that all our suppliers and/or stakeholders who form Petek Plastik manage the economic, social, and environmental impacts of their activities responsibly and prioritize the development of society in their agenda. We determine our social responsibility approach and priorities by considering what is best for society and the environment.
The ethical rules and working principles defined in our Personnel Handbook (PEK), which we have prepared and implemented within the framework of Social Responsibility Principles, guide our behavior in the business world.
Our Core Social Responsibility Principles:
- We do not employ child labor within the company.
- We do not force or compel our employees to work. We provide our employees the right to terminate the employment contract within a reasonable period.
- We provide a safe and healthy working environment. We take all necessary steps to prevent potential health and safety incidents, as well as occupational injuries or illnesses arising during work.
- We manage the environmental impacts of all our activities responsibly. We carry out all improvements, developments, and sustainability efforts to minimize the environmental impact of our activities in line with the scope of our company.
- We do not and will not allow discrimination in hiring, remuneration, access to training, incentives, dismissal, or retirement based on language, race, color, gender, political opinion, belief, religion, sect, age, physical disability, social class, national-regional or social origin, family responsibilities, marital status, or similar reasons.
- We ensure equal opportunities among our employees.
- We do not tolerate any violations of personal integrity through threats, insults, exploitation, emotional or sexual harassment, including verbal or physical contact.
- We value and respect our employees. We do not allow rude or inhumane treatment, including corporal punishment.
- While opposing all forms of bribery and corruption, we strictly prohibit receiving or giving bribes to comply with relevant laws and principles.
- We regulate wages, overtime, working hours, annual leave, and social rights in accordance with legal requirements and provide at least one day off after six consecutive working days.
- We ensure that all our business partners, especially our suppliers, develop, implement, and sustain approaches to act in accordance with Petek Plastik's Ethical Rules and Working Principles in the field of social responsibility.
